Coming in 2022: Good, a sung play by Jenny Magnus, performed by the Curious Theatre Branch ensemble. Good is both a performance and a sung film about sacrifice, transgression, and liberation. Teresa is a caregiver; of whom, it isn’t specified. They take care of someone with all the devotion they can muster, and it is crushing them. They discover the possibility of liberation through tiny acts of aggression and transgression, never towards the person they care for, but rather, towards the universe as a whole. The Curious Theatre Branch ensemble of actors all will portray Teresa, and though they all wear the same smock/apron, a multiverse of Teresa’s all take care differently, and their acts of rebellion differ too. How do you balance good and bad actions? Do we have an obligation to each other to be good? What if your good and my good don’t look the same?
